DQV enforces a hard stop when your monthly record quota is reached - no additional records will be processed until the quota resets on the 1st of the following month, or until you purchase a record add-on pack. Add-on packs can be purchased at any time by any plan and take effect immediately, allowing processing to resume without waiting for the next billing cycle.

DQV measures record usage based on the volume of data read from and written to your sources and destinations during each workflow / suite execution. Only data source read / write components are counted - the data entering and leaving DQV - not any intermediate processing steps such as transformations, sorting, or in-memory comparisons.
The following contribute to your record count:
- Readers - records read from any source: files, databases, APIs, or message queues, used when validating data, migrating, comparing or for masking
- Writers & Error Writers - records written to any destination or error output, used when migrating, writing masked data, or dring synthetic data generation, or when failed records are preserved
- Result Writers - records written to the results store; used when comparing (e.g. matched, mismatched, and orphan records), or when validating data
For example:
- Comparing two data sources where Source A has 100K records and Source B has 50K, producing 40K matched, 5K mismatched, 55K left orphans, and 5K right orphans - the total counted is 255K records.
- Similarly, a migration workflow or suite that reads 50K records and writes 5K after filtering counts as 55K records - only the source read and final write are measured.
Record counts accumulate throughout the monthly billing period and are not reduced when results are deleted.
Data Quality Work Shouldn't Compete With Your Core Priorities
Let Your Team Focus on the Business. Let Us Handle the Data Quality Work.
Every data quality initiative - new rule design, validation pipelines, exception handling, ongoing monitoring - takes real, specialized effort. For most organizations, that effort competes directly with the core business work your team is actually there to do. Something usually gives, and it's often the data quality backlog.
Kumaran's answer: bring in the specialists, keep your team where they belong.
Our DQV experts work as a direct extension of your organization, taking ownership of the implementation and ongoing execution of your data quality initiatives - at an agreed cost, on an agreed timeline - while your core team stays focused on the business priorities only they can drive.
What you get?
